Our story
On the shores of La Unión, where the sea meets the volcanic earth, stories are born and told around a table. Among family recipes, the fire in the kitchen, and the aroma of fresh ingredients, the inspiration that today gives life to La Roca Restaurant began.
Twenty-one years ago, the Velasquez couple embarked on this dream with a clear vision: to create a place where food connected people to their roots. With hard work, dedication, and a love for cooking, they laid the foundation for what is now a solid family business steeped in history.
Over time, his children took the reins of the restaurant, committed to honoring that legacy. For more than two decades, they have worked to consolidate and grow La Roca, keeping the family essence alive while evolving and strengthening their offerings.
Our name represents what endures through time: family, traditions, and the flavors that connect us to our roots. Just as a rock withstands the test of time, our recipes have been passed down from generation to generation, preserving the authentic spirit of Central American cuisine.
